The Health Safety and Environment Test for Managers and Supervisors meets the requirements for all Manager and Supervisor SKILLcards and is designed for those within the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration occupations. The HSE Test helps to raise standards across the industry and ensures that managers and supervisors have a good level of health, safety and environmental awareness. The test Completing the online test - important, please read: The BESA Health Safety and Environment Test for Managers and Supervisors requires an online assessment, which takes place through the support of proctoring.  Please read the requirements prior to purchase and also watch the short video below which will help you get set up successfully - watch the proctoring video. Before registering for the test make sure you have some ID to hand, this can be a valid driver's license or passport. To ensure you pass the test: Your PC or laptop will need to have a camera and make sure it is pointing towards you Turn all mobiles, tablets, devices off Make sure no one walks into the room Don't look at anything outside of the view of the camera Focus fully on the screen Once you have completed the verification process, it can take between 4 to 8 hours to confirm before you can sit the test. The test consists of 50 questions and the pass mark is 90%, meaning you will need to correctly answer 45 questions. Duration The HSE Test takes around 45 minutes to complete. Format 100% online. Cost £24+VAT Cost includes one attempt at the test. Please note: This test is not suitable for Craft and Operative SKILLcards. BESA Academy's Health, Safety and Environment Course for Managers and Supervisors is suitable for all Black, Gold, AQP and PQP SKILLcard holders and is designed for those within the HVAC industry.  Course summary The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Course for Managers and Supervisors is designed specifically for those with responsibility for overseeing teams, projects, and safe working practices within the HVAC sector. Developed to complement the recently launched Health, Safety and Environment Test for Managers and Supervisors, this course aims to provide you with the knowledge required to pass the official BESA Academy HSE Test for Managers and Supervisors. What does the course cover? The Health, Safety and Environment Course for Managers and Supervisors has been designed to reflect the responsibilities of leadership roles in the building services sector. The course is split into dedicated modules covering: General Safety – principles of managing safe systems of work and promoting a positive safety culture.Regulations and Legislation – including key health and safety law, the Building Safety Act, and your duties under current regulations.Legal Compliance – responsibilities for ensuring sites, teams, and projects meet statutory requirements.High-Risk Activities – safe management of tasks such as working at height, confined spaces, and plant/equipment use.Environmental Awareness – minimising impact, waste management, and sustainability considerations.Signs and Symbols – understanding key safety signage and communication on-site.Occupational Health, Wellbeing and Welfare – managing risks to health including hazardous substances, noise, and manual handling.
