What does the course cover?
The Health, Safety and Environment Course and Test has had a refresh and now includes a new module 'Building Safety Act: your role in enhancing building safety. The course is made up of six modules:
- The principles of risk assessment and maintaining and improving H&S at work
- The importance of safe manual handling in the workplace
- The importance of working safely at height in the workplace
- Risks to health within a construction environment
- Working around plant and equipment safely
- Building Safety Act: your role in enhancing building safety
Completing the online test - important, please read:
The Health and Safety Environment Test for Craft and Operatives requires an online assessment, which takes place through the support of proctoring.
Please read the requirements prior to purchase and also watch this short proctoring video which will help you get set up successfully.
Before registering for the test make sure you have some ID to hand, this can be a valid driver's license or passport.
To ensure you pass the test:
- Your PC or laptop will need to have a camera and make sure it is pointing towards you
- Turn all mobiles, tablets, devices off
- Make sure no one walks into the room
- Don't look at anything outside of the view of the camera
- Focus fully on the screen
Once you have completed the verification process, it can take between 4 to 8 hours to confirm before you can sit the test.
