Asbestos remains one of the most significant health risks in the construction and building services industry. This short online course is designed to raise awareness of asbestos, its dangers, and your legal responsibilities when encountering asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).

By the end of the course, you will:

  • Understand the health risks associated with asbestos exposure
  • Recognise where asbestos may be found in buildings and materials
  • Gain awareness of the regulations surrounding asbestos management
  • Know what to do in the event of accidental asbestos disturbance
  • Understand your duty of care under the Control of Asbestos Regulations

This course is intended to provide awareness only. Completion does not qualify you to work with asbestos but ensures you can identify potential risks and take the correct preventative actions.

Who should take this course?

Anyone who may come into contact with the fabric of a building as part of their work — including maintenance staff, engineers, surveyors, and contractors will benefit from this essential awareness training.
